Wait, that’s today and I frantically Googled the web trying to find more info. Well I finally found it and I had a half hour to get downtown for the sign unveiling. Well since I just replaced the drive train on my bike and finally fixed my “in the wrong position” cleat I decided to give it a whirl.

I get there in time and have fun meeting every one. After the little ceremony we take off along the ECG. I will note that in leaving Baltimore the Potee St bridge has a bike lane (one direction only) so that was a nice crossing. The people were interesting but there was a lot of stopping for picture taking and interviewing trail users, so as a bike ride it was a bit lame. Getting near to Annapolis Greg needs to go back home and get his car so I decide to ride with him to the light rail stop. A train pulls away from the station just as we get there so we decide to bike all the way into Baltimore. Greg takes me over the Hanover St bridge and that was a little intimidating and I’m not sure if I will do that again especially since Angelo’s route is more direct and not near as intimidating.

Ok Greg and I part ways and it’s now 5pm at the Inner Harbor and there is an ECG event at 6pm. Hmm can I get back down to Annapolis in hour? Well once I am back on the BWI trail the wind picks up and it was really threatening to rain but for some unknown reason I kept going. Well after fighting the wind and riding for an hour and a half I made it down to the event which seemed to just be taking off as I get there. Nice conversations and good food and then headed home now very, very tired.

I slept real good that night.
Sounds like you've been hanging around No Racer(who really is a racer) with that many miles. I also escorted the ECG riders through Ag research yesterday(Thursday). First I had a nooner bike club meeting w/ MNCPP on the Paint branch trail, then the ECG ride from Old Bowie to Beltsville. It was only a 12 mile ride but w/ my meeting and criss-crossing Ag research I ended up logging in over 50 miles. I had to haul a$$ to make my train at the end of the ride and burned 3 hrs leave time. I didn't stay for dinner since I was to make dinner for the family. That and the fact I didn't know about dinner until I dropped off the riders. it would have been nice as they seemed like a decent group.

Barry: I am going to try to make the Bike advisory meeting on Tuesday, are you going and can anybody come(not that I am just an anybody). I plan to take my "new" folder on the Penn line, bike the Jones Falls trail. Do you think that's best way to Madison street or run through the neighborhood Bolton Hill? When I leave I might take the light rail or the Penn line. Timing is everything.

Angelo: Please repost your route if it's easy if not I'll search BF archives for it. Thanks.
