SF is assumed to be a bike friendly city. But recently we had cops camping at intersections and doing selective enforcement of stop sign runners. This means they ignored cars running or rolling a stopsign and chased cyclists when they did the same thing. That's bike unfriendly and a ridiculous police practice. Also our mayor has stated that automotive parking for all new buildings is a priority. So you win some you lose some, and car drivers are scary wherever you are.
so what about the rest of the year that cars are being pulled over while bikes are blowing stop signs? kinda stupid to call a city bike friendly as long as it lets people on bikes break traffic laws. as far as the automotive parking things goes...no sh*t?
