A couple of random questions

ive had a few questions on my mind and they don't warrant a thread each and none are really related so i decided to put them in one thread

1. how hard does the wind have to be blowing to keep you from riding

2. how does the category system work for racing (cat 5, cat4, and the likes)...whats the difference between all of them (a link would be find i couldn't find anything on it)

3. for a cat5 race (or a low level race) whats a recommended weight to be for a flat(er) course (Michigan)

4. what are the brake/shifter combos called that look like normal brakes and you shift by push the lever one way and then pulling it back to shift the other way

5. besides weight and ease of walking is there any performance difference between road and MTB pedals, also is there an difference in performance excluding weight between the 40.00 pedals and the 200.00 pedals

6. what do bibs do differently over shorts

7. does your butt get used to sitting in a saddle after awhile (right now im limited to approximately 30 miles rides because my but hurts to much to continue riding longer than that.)

8. do you ride hard every day or do alternate riding and not riding throughout the week. if so whats your schedule (3 days on, 2 off, etc)

ok so i guess thats more than a couple.
