2005 Fox Vanilla R Problem... Help please.

Hey guys.

I had started a thread a while back about a bad rattle that I have in the rear of my '05 Big Hit. I thought it was tolerance problems with the eyelets on the rear shock, but after checking all tolerances and having the LBS check the frame, nothing is wrong with any of that. However, the rattle remains.

Here is what I know:
The rattle sounds like it is a cable hitting the frame, but that has also been eliminated. I electrical taped every single cable tight down and no change at all in the rattle.
When I add a slight bit of weight on the saddle, there is a small click that can be felt and it seems a quiet version of the rattling noise can be heard. After feeling around, I am 99% sure it is coming from the Vanilla R rear shock.

Is this rattle common? Is there something that could be wrong inside the shock?

Any suggestions you guys have would be appreciated, because I don't know what to do outside of getting a new shock, but I am not sure if it is worth it.

Thanks.
