went to the old navy, bought cotton cargo pants on sale; articulated knees, light weight (for everywhere but here), halfway decent pockets, OD green, 11 bucks. they work great on the bike (for me) not so great off the bike. Oh, I cut them off, and ended up with 2 little tool pouches that were pockets on the ankles.
