Is the standover too tight, or can you still pick the bike up without hitting yourself? How much seatpost do you have showing now? Look at Rivendell's site for proper fitment. Look under how to pick your bike.

Most the guys I've seen with reach problems have been on way to small of frames. If your saddle height is more than 2" or so above your bars, then your frame is most likely too small.
Custom is nice, but expensive.
