I know it's long for a day trip but Snowshoe, West Va. has a van shuttle system that's good. Plus they have lots of single track. I've never been (I truly enjoy climbing) but have a friend in Hickory that does it on a regular basis and can't say enough about it. I'm going to break down and go in June. On another note, where's a good place to ride in Greensboro? I've a friend in Durham and we want to meet in the middle and ride. I've done Hobby Park & Salem Lake (are those trails open?) but Gnsb is more in the middle.
