New Bike on Order (plus SPD question)
I feel like a little kiddie at the moment, ordered a new bike on monday for my commute to work. The (very) old mountain bike is starting to get very rough (gears, chain, brakes all well worn although servicable)
Its a Trek FX 7.3 Disc, got a bunch of additional bits and pieces - basic shimano pedals, shimano M075 shoes, wireless computer, decent set of lights.
I'll be picking up the bike tomorrow, and figure that this will be the time when I'll start getting off the train a little earlier on its journey and cycling the rest of the way. Put my daily round trip ride up to about 16 miles.
Got my handlebar mount for my Nokia N73, the GPS unit will be in the bag under the seat, should be good.
Figured I'd have a go at putting the SPDs on the mountain bike for todays journey, just to get them setup and get a feel for them. Only took a few minutes and they became second nature.
However, what did surprise me was my speed - I've gone up by a few mph, which was totally unexpected - has anyone else experienced this?
