Maybe what we need is a container from Europe (or maybe direct from the source, Taiwan?) full of these Merc tyres to the USA. 15 bucks a piece wth the Kevlar belt, even if they last 1/2 the mileage of the competition, it is still a good deal, isn't it?
LOL - the tyres I have have done 1700 + miles and the front one still has good tread pattern. The rear - that's just rubber and all slashed up from pedalling on urban glass strewn tracks. I don't know how long a small tyre should last given that it rotates a lot faster and more times per mile than a 700 tyre. (yes that's the English spelling of tire). The exact dimension is 37 - 349 and it is made by the Cheng Shin Tyre co. They seem to make them in China. They make all kinds of tyres.
