OK! What an experience that was
Thursday Night TT:
-Distance: 10Km, 3 small rolling hills
-Temp: 23C
-Wind: SE ~15-20km/h
-TT Time : 16:42
I rushed home to get my bike set up as suggested. I raise the saddle, slide the seat forward, tilt it slightly down in front, lower the stem, readjust the Aero Bars. I quickly toast a bagel coat it with peanut butter, wolf it down, get suited up and head out.
The front end of the bike felt heavy, and really seemed to steer quicker with the weight on it. I test out the bars once I get up to speed, they felt great, and I could see my speed increasing 2-3 km just by going into the tuck. It fit not bad for a first cut at it.
We arrive at Doug's Spoke N Sport, wait until all riders arrive and then ride out to the Patience Lake Mine Road (sort of counter clockwise to the ride last night). I'm not sure of the distance out to the TT start point, however I guess it's about 15-20kms. When we get there, the assistants had the cones in place. it was 5 km out and 5 km back. The course had 3 roller hills, that added to the challenge, but other than that, it was straight.
It's been a while since I have rode a TT so it was nice to get reacquainted to trying to leaving it out on the course. I forget how much these can hurt. The club TT's are held each month to test the effectiveness of the Thursday night Interval training. I did not ride the last one, but apparently every one's times improved, in spite of the strong wind tonight. This was good to see!
I came in 2nd place of 15, with a time of 16:42. I'll take it, though it's funny how in hind site I think I may have been able to push a wee bit harder, but not too much

The Bike worked great, and I'm looking forward to next month's TT, and hope I can improve.

The 5000 set up worked good enough for now
