Got the new saddle in the mail yesterday, put it on the bike and went for a 25 mile ride. I had to stop a few times to make minor height, for/aft and tilt adjustments. My initial thoughts on the saddle are positive. The seat is definately softer than the others I have, but is is light weight also. I think it will definately be more comfortable once I get it dialed in. As I was riding I could shift my butt on the seat and find a really comfortable position, now I have to get that spot to match my primary riding position.

Question: Why is it in this post and other posts about saddles road riders steer away from soft saddles and mountain bike riders steer towards more cushioned saddles? You would think it would be the opposite since road riders sit in the saddle for longer amounts of time and mountain bikers are out of the saddle more often. I admit in my 20+ years of riding I have always went for the "racing" saddle on my bike, but now I am beginning to question this practice with the light weight, soft and narrow saddles like this one.
