I have an older Advent cycling specific backpack. I don't think they make it anymore. It has a suspension system that holds the pack off your back so you can get air. There is reflective tape all over it and even a built in rain cover (neon yellow, of course). It also has a pocket for a hydration bladder, which rocks, IMO. I hate bottles. The strapping system is supurb, with padded shoulder straps and padded hip supports. There is a waist strap and a chest strap, so the pack stays where you want it, even standing out of the saddle. I have had no issues with it, but as I said, I don't think they are available anymore. I am glad I have mine as I use it for lots of things, even off the bike.
