Long(er) armed v-brake?

I've got a Surly Karate Monkey running 29inch Schwalbe Big Apple tires w/Avid Single Digit v-brakes. I recently purchased the new Planet Bike 29inch fenders. Surly designed the KM's rear brake mounts very low on the seat stays, so the cable on my current rear v-brake sits about 1/8 of an inch above the top of the tire--virtually no clearance, and the rear fender won't fit.

I remember seeing taller (than standard) armed v-brakes (Shimano Deore?) a few months ago but can't seem to find them now. Most on-line sites don't list the height of the brake arms, so I'm having trouble narrowing it down.

Anyone have any insights into where I can find some that would fit my bike? Are there v-brakes out there that have taller-than-standard arms? I know that running a rear disc brake would solve this problem--I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Thanks in advance.
