I'm all about the Utilikilt. I'll be in one when I can afford it. That said, I'm a little skeptical about some of the pics on the site...I mean, would you really want to be doing arc welding in a kilt? I wouldn't...I've got enough ruined jeans from welding to be very wary of that.
A much lower priced but very well regarded alternative would be the Mountain Kilt made by Mountain Hardwear. Runs about $50 I think and if it's like anything else made by Mountain Hardwear, it'll last through several apocalypses (or would the plural be apocali?).
