UPDATE: With the wheels off it sticks out hardly any more than my regular bike with the wheels on...

I use a receiver hitch type that I already use regularly for my other bikes and carry it on the rear.. I just remove both wheels. It still sticks out a bit, but I did not have to buy a new rack...

Oh, it's one of those swing away models so access to the rear is not an issue.
