So - this morning I go down to the cafeteria for my usual cup of coffee. As I exit the building, I pass by the bike rack just like I do every morning. And just like I do every morning, I scan the rack and look over the bikes. Just a habit - can't help myself.

As my eyes scan over all the familiar bikes and hit the end of the rack, I spy a bike I haven't seen before. A nice blue Schwinn Paramount. It looks to be a newer one, and is trimmed in full Dura Ace 9 speed and Speedpaly pedals, and the owner even left his helmet and shoes hanging on the bike (a nice pair of Sidi Genus 5's).

As I take in all the detail, I do a double-take.... something's wong. Then it hits me - there's no lock!!! Now, there's not a lot of crime around town, and that's why I like living here. But no lock on an unattended Paramount is just........ wrong.
