Getting with the programme

After 40 years of riding a lot of different bikes on several continents and for a whole bunch of different reasons (most of them enjoyable:-)) -cycling still has the capacity to delight me with new experiences.

For example, this weekend.........

-I built my first radial-spoked wheel

-rode my first compact road frame

-put together a fixed -wheel 29er/'cross bike

- had to log on twice to have component adjustments explained. Was I really so stuck in my ways that I never needed to adjust an aheadset before?

Just when you think you know what kind of rider you are, what your preferences, strengths and weaknesses are, why you make the choices that you do......

that's the time to shift into another gear and find a new trail.........
