When you have thread after thread saying that they are the best and most comfortable bibs out there you must be onto something. All I know is that I have two sets of FI 13's and nothing comes close to them in comfort and fit...PERIOD!!! My thinking is, why spend $100 on a pair of bibs that are so-so and I end up not wearing. When I can spend an extra $100 and get a pair that I will always want to wear.
Trust me, when I'm on the saddle for 5 hours my butt wants the Assos. Honestly when I'm riding the FI 13's it feels like I have a second skin on, they fit so good...Actually I have commented to my wife that I actually feel like I have nothing on....
So yes! They are worth the extra cash...My butt says so...
I have also read that Santinis were better, due to price difference and not much difference in comfort. By Santinis are very comfortable, but in the heat I would like to have shorts. With the Santinis, I don't notice I have them on except the fact that I am warmer.
