What I am saying, is that bike shop customers are not that smart, or at least cannot be depended to be smart, when I saw the boss do the exception, such as like you did where Large/large is a no go, the customer would agree to the limitation then would turn up a month later with a bent mess. A mechanic/rider with awarness and finesse can do it, for others, buy a Suntour VGT and be happy.
