Realistically if you get the two within a 1mm or so of each other I doubt you're going to know the difference.
If your using a cartridge BB, slip a 1mm spacer on the drive side. If your using ad old loose ball and cup spindle, ditch it in favor of a cartridge BB.
A Phil BB would be the best choice. I just went thru a similar setup with a Paul crank and a Suzue hub. Slipped a 1mm spacer behind the DA cog and lined the Phil BB dead centered. Quietest drivetrain I've had to date.
