Can anyone tell me why a narrow, high-speed lane provides more legitimacy to cyclists than high-quality on-road accommodations? And while you are at it, can you explain how the honking and shouts of "get on the sidewalk, you moron" that often accompany cycling on high-speed narrow lanes provides more legitimacy to cyclists as vehicle operators?
