Generally, hybrids have a more upright posture, and a more padded, wider saddle which is great for comfy shorter rides. But the padding can lead to a variety of problem at longer distances, so road saddles tent to be a narrower, firmer saddle to give support directly to the "sit bones".
But if your seat works, definitely dont fix it.
