Well, had my first ride with this computer today. Everything worked as expected, and I noticed no accuracy problems or difficulty maintaining wireless contact with the speed and cadence units. Right now I'm using the o-rings to mount all three units, but once I'm comfortable with where everyting needs to be, I'll consider using zip ties for the head unit and the cadence unit.
I realized that you could use either light wire or heavy fishing line to tied the speed sensor onto the fork. It'd be more secure, but would be hard to get tight, at least with the heavier fishing line approach. The fishing line has a little it of stretch and might keep the speed sensor more snug if mounted under a bit of tension. OTOH, the tie-wire approach would allow you to cinch it down to *very* tight with little problem. Either one would just be a straight substitution for the o-ring, but you could also drill a few holes to allow you to mount it similar to how the cadence unit works.
Hope you all are getting yours to work out OK.
