I've got short legs and a long torso. I had a custom touring frame built up back in 2002 as I couldn't find a frame that fit. I just picked up a 2007 Roubaix with compant geometry that fits as well as my custom built rig. Does everyone need a compact geometry? Heck no. But, they are more accessible for a wider range of body styles and dont affect the ride one bit. Why wouldn't manufacturers want to build them?
