Labels goes opposite to to valve because when the bike is put on a stand (like expos) and the wheels are frees to rotate the valve (more weight) goes down and you can read correctly the labels on the tire.
Never done it on my bikes
On all of my wheels when they are free to rotate the valve ends up in the 12 o'clock position.
