Hey Everyone.
I just purchased this Frameset off my local Craigslist for what I like to believe was a great deal. I have been searching everywhere online. So far I know its Columbus Aluminum and handbuilt by a guy named Brian Grieger. Owner of Brians Pro Bikes located in Eagle, Idaho. If anyone has any info on Dobbiaco bikes please post up. Also what should I have paid for it? I know that may be a hard question but I'm just really curious about this frame.
Frame + Fork + Headset = 1860 g.
So far on my build I have:
Dobbiaco Selle Frame
Chris King Headset
Deda elementi Bars
Reynold’s Ouzo Pro fork
Selle Italia Saddle
Sette Aeon Stem
Unfortunately this frame looks to be too small for me but I'm going to try and see if I can make it work. Being that I'm starting from the ground up leaves me with a ton of decisions. This will be my first ever build. I come from the muddy mountain trails so I'm totally new to road cycling. I'm having the hardest time figuring out a general good route without wasting any money on flashy junk parts. So any quick and simple pointers or suggestions would be killer. I have seen many amazing bikes in this forum and trust most of you have good taste. I mostly look to keep this bike simple for my work commute and weekend play. I located in the SF Bay area for terrain reference.
Thanks a ton and safe cycling.
