OK, got some Genius 5's in Feb 07 and have only ridden them about 500-600 mi (I have three sets of shoes) and after my 70 miler on the 4 Jul, by chance, I happened to glance at the sole of the shoe after taking them off and the entire sole (width-wise) was cracked completely through in the instep area (smallest section of the sole). It's not a carbon sole, but I've never heard of a Sidi shoe having such an issue. I'm about 180lbs and ride 150-200 mi/week. I'm no masher, and I'm not exceptionally rough on any of my gear.

I took them back to the LBS today and had them assist with a send-back to Sidi using the warranty program. They are about 5 mos old.

Anyone had quality issues with their Sidi's, and if you had them sent back to Sidi, what was the turn-around time?
