As I near my office, I ride down a street that is in a commercial area, not too many stores, but a lot of 2 story buildings and corporate cafes and the like. It's 2 lanes in each direction going up a long not too steep hill. At the top of the hill, traffic is divided by a grassy median with trees and slopes down.
While coasting down this hill a bit today, I came across my first speed trap. The officer was standing next to her car with the radar gun pointed at oncoming traffic (me). She clocked me at 11mph (I just got over the top of the hill) (I think the speed limit is 35-40)
Never have I felt so comfortable about encountering a speed trap.
