Is there an adaptor I can buy so as to bypass the little pesky nuts on Presta Valves, thus using the Schrader chuck-end of my floorpump? The adaptors I have had for years, which I bought from Performance Bike does not seem to work. Or, maybe I do not know how to use them properly.
Yes, there are schrader-pump-to-presta-valve adapters, they cost 2 EUR in Finland (so perhaps about a couple bucks in the US), and since you can get them in about any Finnish LBS, and Finnish LBSes suck ass (I should know), it means these adapters are as available as sand. The way I use them (and it seems to be the right way) is to screw them ontop of the presta valve as much as possible, and then clamp them with the schrader pump.

That said, I standardized on schrader everywhere I could.
