Question for the sprinters and lead outs on the board. In a crit, where/when do you generally hook up with your team mate? If leading out, how do you know they've found your wheel? Is it the sprinters job to find the lead out man or the lead out man's job to make sure the sprinter is on his wheel?
Reason I ask: Crit on Saturday, I thought I had my sprinter in tow at the S/F on a criterium bell lap, "he" told me "take me through", meaning to the front. I had a line so took "him" through the field right then and there, through a tight turn, drilled it up a little hill, through a very technical turn, and on a straightaway just before our pre-planned drop off point, looked under my arm to discover I lead out an oponent and my guy was buried mid pack. D'oh!
