Its not that complicated. Someone on the team keeps the pace high from a few laps out (this is the guy who is really sacrificing). Leadout finds good position, sprinters job is to get on his wheel or let a strong opponent take it and take his. Leadout guy takes it long, but still a sprint, meaning he can make it to the line. You play it by ear from there. The best teams I've ridden on at this end up placing a few riders rather than everyone burning thier wick for one guy (too much of a gamble). If you ever watched Coors Light in the 90's, that's it.
