Yeah, I've decided to jazz up my rides with some really classy sounding names.
56 miles, 4000 feet of climbing, 4 guys, Southern Illinois, what more could you ask for? Well other then some hot women to ride with?
We started off from Eddyville and immediatly faced a few real steep climbs, I got 51.4 mph downhill. Sorry no pictures here to busy breathing.
After Golconda things settled down a bit with some nice rolling hills and I could get the camera out.
The fellow on the right is pretty tall and was riding an old 62cm touring bike that weighed about 35 pounds, but he just grinded up every hill.
Here is the man himself, Joe Kern, did I mention he turned 81 a couple of weeks ago.
Hmm, it looks like they've formed the flying V formation. Someone planted half an acre of sunflowers back there.
Our halfway point is Bay City, this bustling little community of like 7 or something was used as a location for that classicly crappy movie US Marshalls, there was an airplane crashed out in the Ohio there and this road was on fire for the movie.
I think this is Bay City, apparently this place was used in US Marshalls too. It's been converted into somekind of antique store.
Thank you
