Track the rise in prices for track frames, particularly Japanese ones and especially the NJS certified ones. Look at bike websites from years past; no track/singlespeed/street fixie bikes. Now look at their current websites; everybody is selling one. According to my LBS, Specialized is coming out with a whole lineup of bikes to serve the booming hipster crowd.


And then there's scraper bikes. Don't forget, they are singlespeed, too.
