I would look into powdercoating instead. It's not much more expensive and the finish will be much more durable. I had a Standard STA (bmx jump frame) when I was 16 and it was powdercoated... greatest finish. But if you opt just to go with paint, and you go to an auto body shop, check what type of paint they use, generally the guys who use the euro stuff tend to care more about the quality of thier paint and you would hope their work. I always liked Spies Hecker.
