The Somerset bridge, connects Somerset West over the canal with Somerset East (aka Marie Curie on Ottawa U lands). Packed solids with peds and cyclists every time I use it. I don't think its been officially names yet, although "Corktown Bridge" has been suggested.

There have been suggestions for one or two more ped/bike bridges. If you look at a map we have very few links over the canal, basically the downtown ones at Wellington/Rideau, McKenzie-King, and Laurier all clumped together; the next crossing is the Pretoria Bridge; and then nothing until Bank Street at Landsdown. We have a whole section of downtown/near downtown cut off from the east/south urban core other than those three links (I am omitting the Queensway, since it is a no-ped/no-bike freeway). While there is nothing solid in the works, as far as I know the city is only considering ped/bike links and no additional motoring links at this point.
