Well, here 'tis, my new bike...

Time VXS, with Campy '07 Record groupset, and Record/Open Pro wheels.
After way too many years away from road bikes, I started riding again last fall. I blame it on a buddy who bequeathed his Trek to me after slinking off with an Orbea. It kinda grew on me, I started riding alot, and of course needed to learn more.
Then I found this place.
This place is the conduit to both a wealth of knowledge and a serious case of bike lust. They should really warn you to hide your wallet when sign on to this website. Really, really.
So far, this bike has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's light, fast, quick handling, and just a ton of fun to ride. The groupset is nearly invisible- it just works. With no hitch in shifting and no problems braking, the thing goes when I do and stops when I want it to. I expected to be really impressed with the Record stuff, and it's almost disappointing that it just disappears beneath you. I know that's a *good thing*, but still...
I put the thing together myself, and it was a slow, but interesting process. Found the frame, scrounged the groupset and wheels, and did a HUGE amount of reading and consulting to get it right. Not something I wanted to screw up. Sugan (sp?), one of the great guys at Veloworx in MDR helped finish it off for me. He installed the chain, checked my work, and made some necessary adjustments
I'm still dialing in the fit, and might eventually break down and consult with one of the local fitting gurus, but for now I'm going to ride it as much as time and other obligations permit.
It really is like a dream...
