This bike just about pegged the divorce meter, but we got through it. I don't expect to be doing much bike shopping for a long while (though I did pick up some bibs today ). One reason I went with Record is because this just might be the last groupset I buy until I'm old enough to start riding a three-wheeler.

Funny thing about this build is that the frame, the groupset and the wheels all came through my local Performance store. The frame is new-old-stock from before Performance took over this store. It used to be a Supergo store, and apparently had better inventory then... I was able to wait until Performance had a 25% points back sale on the frame, and then used the points back to get the groupset and then the wheels at a substantial savings. I also found out the Santa Monica store has an in-store sale of 10% off from noon-2 every Tuesday. It all adds up!

Oh, and Psydotek- I keep looking for the bike to explode or something, but it just won't. I'll let you know when it does.

Besides, Joy, I couldn't let you suffer all alone with your new Campy ride.
