I weight 200 lb-ish. I have found that most prebuilt, 32 spoke wheels don't work with me. I've had to re-lace the rear wheel of all my bikes at least once, with 14-15-14 double butted spokes. But that said, once the wheels are re-laced and tensioned by hand, a 32 spoke wheel does marvelously for my 200 lbs of lard.
Does your wheel have lots of spokes (32 or 36), or does it have only a few (8-12)?
