I know that on day 1 I couldn't have made this ride in this time; and can't wait to see what I'm capable of by year's end.
I'm reminded of the scene in the movie American Beauty when Lester (aka Kevin Spacey) starts jogging and remarks that every once in a while it's nice to be amazed when you do something you didn't think you ever could.. Which brings me to my final rambling though, and partial thread-jack, great job Tom for helping be the inspiration for me to get on my bike and ride. The PSA, news clip, etc. on the Ride are awesome.. Simply awesome. Next year I'd like to shake your hand after we finish the ride together.

18.9 MPH with 34 MPH headwinds and hills is rather epic, I agree.
