I'd asked this in another thread but I'll ask again. Could someone list some name brands of what they deem 'good' starter bikes, bikes likely to turn up for resale and good as learning bikes for beginners? I'm asking specifically about bikes folks would likely find as fix-em-ups, usually a LOT cheaper than the same sort of bikes would run if new and in working order. And mods--feel free to move this thread if I've posted in in a bad place. Thanks!
