So, I will search the forums for the adapters / p-shaped eyelets and hopefully I won't have to give up my dream of riding my fast bike to work!
I rode through most of my commute today on it and it was so effortless I couldn't believe it! Road bikes are so FAST! Even the cheap ones! I kind of felt like I was cheating because it was so easy. Maybe it's better if I stick with my other bike because I get a better workout!
Did you get one of the post racks that work with panniers? They have sides so a bag that drapes over the side wouldn't hit the wheel.

That being said, I am considering a carradice bag. Right now I backpack it. I sweat like heck either way.
