i've looked around this forum for a while, but this is my first post here. i'm looking to get a new bike - i basically need a fairly light bike that would be used mostly for biking to and from work in a city, but occasionally to hit up some bike trails on the weekends, albeit paved or crushed limestone trails. i thought a hybrid might be better than a road bike. after searching for a few weeks, i think i'm down to these two. the larkspur seemed a bit more comfortable than the trek, but the trek might have been lighter - though not by much. the larkspur is $420 at my LBS, and the trek is $490. i was hoping to get some feedback from folks here about these two. i'm leaning towards the larkspur (since it is more comfortable, and i don't think i'm losing much in performance - again, i'm a recreational biker, nothing more than that), but i could honestly go either way - they're really close in my opinion. thoughts?
