Umm....I think in some cases NJS=arbitrary. It's like not being able to swim in Japan without a swimming cap. "Why?" "Hair clogs the drain." "I have a shaved head." "Everyone needs a swimming cap."

Which one has evolved into your non-road on-the-road training bike?
