Recumbents are specialty items, and typically start around $2k anyway. I guess $1200 or so more for CF and a Schlumpf sounds about right.
Recumbants start around $500. One could argue that for "something decent", they start at around $1200.
I'm thinking of getting one instead of a "proper" road bike.
