What is the longest time you've lived out of your panniers, on a cycling tour?

My longest is three months.

I really like the idea of paring down my belongings to just what I can carry on my bicycle ... it's freeing. And I'm about to start packing again for a 1-month tour. This time I want to do a few things differently. I want to attempt to pack lighter, and yet have some warmer clothing. I'll have to do some experimentation to see how that will work!
