hello all, im wanting to start riding to work, its a mere 6 miles, the worst of the trip is crossing the overpass, and driving down a 2 lane road with no bike lane, then its on to nothing but neighborhoods...
i currently have the perfect setup a shower at work so that aint a problem...

so im wondering is there a bike one can recommend?
i was actually thinking about going to my local bike shop having my self sized for a bike then hitting up craigslist. im not to worried about it being to hard of a trip as i usually ride my cruiser around the neighborhood probally about 3 to 4 miles, i just dont think its suited to ride doing busy hours, i want something for speed. mostyl just to keep myself from being run over but im sure either way it comes with he territory, im not to afraid of traffic either as i used to ride my old schwin around the scariest parts of phoenix until that piece got stolen...

but is there a something i should be looking for in particuler...
im not to informed on frames or bikes i should be looking for...

any any help would be cool...
