Conti Ultra Sport installation...

I'm not the biggest guy in the world but I'm not weak. For the life of me I cannot get the last little bit of the tire into the rim. I know it is supposed to be difficult but I've never failed this miserably before. I've installed some generic WTB tires and vredestein fortezza without too much of a problem so I'm not just ********.

I eventually got the tire all the way on using tire levers but when I went to inflate the tube...but of course I had already popped/ripped/gashed the tube.

Anyone have some tips for ridiculously tough tires? My thumbs feel like total ****
