By the numbers, they would protect Alberto. But overall, it wouldn't be a good idea as a game plan. Johan has said Alberto is young, still learning, and needs time to fully develop. He doesn't want to put unnecessary pressure on him. And dumping Levi could be seen as a lack of loyalty, and mess with the team morale, and certainly demoralize Levi. Besides, Alberto's shown he doesn't need much protection for his style of riding. He's a start and stop accellorator, climbs to his own rhythm. If he somehow gets the yellow after tomorrow, they'll defend it.
