It was mid-80's on the East Bay side, and once we came around to the bay side of the hills there was a cool breeze blowing off the water. It really was a beautiful day weather-wise. The vulture was early on in the ride, at the start of the second major climb. I figured he marked me as an easy meal, and was sneaking up.

The rider was one of our group and he wasn't zooming away, I was running him down. Yeah - that's it.......

The older I get, the more I think of my hammock.
