I'm too late to respond to you, but for next trip to Houston:
Terry Hershey-George Bush Parks. You can ride 35 miles if you loop end to end.
There are several country roads North and west of Brookshire
You can also start in Katy and go south and meander around towns like Fulshear, Simonton, Wallisville.
The best hilly stuff offered in the area is around Chappel Hill and north throughout Sam Houston National Forest. Send an email to
